Success Story: 2018 ScreenCraft Drama Winner Xavier Burgin
Update (June 3, 2022): Since this interview, Xavier Burgin has has signed with an agent at CAA and literary manager Kailey Marsh at Brillstein Entertainment Partners, who has been a juror on ScreenCraft competitions. He was staffed on the most recent season of Heels, which is currently airing on Starz. Xavier has also been nominated for an Emmy for directing on the 11-time Emmy-nominated series Giants and directed Shudder’s first original documentary, Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror. Aside from winning the grand prize from ScreenCraft for his screenplay On Time, he is also a Sundance Lab Fellow, HBO alumn, Ryan Murphy Half Fest alum, semifinalist for the Student Academy Awards, quarterfinalist for The Academy Nicholl Fellowship.
