New York Comedy Festival Books Colbert For Panel
Stephen Colbert and his team of writers are on a roll — recently, "The Colbert Report" won two Emmy awards in the categories Outstanding variety series and Outstanding writing for a variety series. Now, Colbert and his writing team will join the lineup at The New York Comedy Festival for a panel in November.
The panel, "Behind the Scenes at 'The Colbert Report'," will give audience members an inside look into how the fake news show is created. Colbert and his team will share clips, stories and answer questions from fans. The Comedy Central show is now in its ninth season.
The panel will be held on November 7 at Town Hall in midtown Manhattan. This year's 10th annual New York Comedy Festival runs November 6-10. The fest, which is produced by Carolines on Broadway and presented in association with Comedy Central, includes 175 comics who perform in 50 shows at various venues around New York City.
