ScreenCraft And Script Chix Choose Semifinalists For Pilot Competition

ScreenCraft and Script Chix have announced 48 semifinalists for their 2013 Pilot Launch TV Script Competition. The grand prize winners will be announced within the next couple weeks.

Per the contest rules, aspiring screenwriters had to submit either a one-hour drama or half-hour comedy teleplay. The 48 winners were narrowed down from 500 entries.

Next, the two companies will choose one grand prize winner in both the drama and comedy categories. Those two winners will receive a free trip to Los Angeles to meet with agents, managers and TV executives. The prize also includes a one-year subscription to The Wrap’s PowerGrid, the first algorithmic tool to rank every player, project and company in the feature film business. Also, the top 8 finalists will receive professional feedback from Script Chix note service.

The partnership between ScreenCraft and Script Chix is in line with the companies' overall mission.

“Our mission is to help connect talented emerging screenwriters with top companies and producers who need good scripts,” ScreenCraft co-founder John Rhodes said.
