News: Universal Is Developing Cult Comic Book "Clone"

Universal is developing David Schulner’s cult comic book series Clone as a feature.
Clone was written by Schulner and illustrated by Juan Jose Ryp and Felix Serrano. It was first published in 2012 through Image Comics and Skybound. The 20th and final issue was published in 2014.
The story centers around Dr. Luke Taylor, whose perfect life comes to a dramatic halt when an identical, bloodied version of himself arrives at his doorstep with news that he is one of many clones… and all of his copies are after his pregnant wife and their unborn child. As the world of Clone expands, Taylor inevitably must survive against younger, stronger versions of himself, a homegrown coalition that adapts an anti-clone policy, and his own failed attempts uncover the truth behind the Clone program.
The film will be produced by David Alpert for Skybound Entertainment and Bryan Furst and Sean Furst through their Furst Films. Peter Cramer will be overseeing for Universal.
NBC and eventually SyFy was previously developing the comic into a television series until it drew too many comparisons to Orphan Black.
