News: Bruce Willis to Produce a "Die Hard" Origin Movie?

Last week the internet was abuzz at the news of a sixth Die Hard film, but with a twist. The film would serve as both a prequel and a sequel to the film series so far with some of the story taking place in the present day and some back in 1979 when Bruce Willis' John McClane was just a young cop.

Willis confirmed the news while speaking with ET during the premiere of Rock the Kasbah. 

"It's a very good idea, a really tricky idea, and I'm very happy about it. It's a really cool idea, because it's the origin story. It's gonna happen at the beginning of this. We're going to bounce back and forth."

Who will play the young John McClane? 

"We'll see. I don't know. We're not there yet, but we'll see. Hopefully he's got a hard head."

Len Wiseman, who previously worked on Live Free or Die Hard with Willis, returns to direct the film alongside producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. A writer is currently being sought.
