Introducing: ScreenCraft's Family-Friendly Screenplay Contest!

We're excited to announce our Family-Friendly Feature Screenplay Contest - and the final deadline is fast approaching!  As one of the most important movie-going demographics, families represent a huge portion of ticket sales, yet truly family-friendly content is increasingly hard to find.  We got tired of hearing our friends and production companies and studios bemoan the lack of quality family-oriented screenplays and decided to center a contest around this very audience.  Our panel of judges includes readers and creative executives at Lionsgate, Paramount, Sony and Walt Disney Pictures!  Our featured guest judge is acclaimed story consultant Jen Grisanti!  We're also excited to have family-friendly film producer Mychal Simka and Great Road Capital's VP of Creative Affairs Liza Olsen!

Our network of producers, managers, agents and development executives are looking for high-quality feature film scripts that are appealing to the whole family.  The elusive "four-quadrant" film (the kind that Steven Spielberg and George Lucas made so well) are quite simply a rare gem.  Whether you have a multi-generational drama, a fun comedy, or an exhilarating animated adventure, we want a script that’s entertaining for the whole family (including kids, parents and grandparents)!   We believe that films that are appealing to children need not be childish.  And we believe that faith-friendly films need not be overtly religious.  We acknowledge that faith (whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist) is a central part of many family's homes.  We also acknowledge the universal power of story to resonate with our humanity across cultures and beliefs.  We have high hopes that this first-annual Family-Friendly Screenplay Contest will discover some special scripts that go on to be produced and loved by generations to come.
