Hasbro has been planning a multi-franchise cinematic universe for months now, which includes their G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., Micronauts , Visionaries, and ROM properties in a shared on-screen world.

The company recently had apparent great success with a "writer's room" of top scripting talent coming together to plan out the future of the Transformers franchise, and are now planning to adopt the same model for this other multi-franchise cinematic universe.

The current line-up of talent being assembled for the "writer's room" of the Hasbro Cinematic Universe is actually quite amazing. This list includes:

• Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier who worked on the script for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2.
• Eisner Award-winning Y: The Last Man creator Brian K. Vaughn who wrote for Lost and served as showrunner on Under the Dome.
• Nicole Perlman who worked on the script for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and is currently penning the Captain Marvel screenplay.
• John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the Horrible Bosses scribes who are also penning the script for next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
• Joe Robert Cole, who wrote for The People v. O.J. Simpson and is currently writing the Black Panther film at Marvel Studios.
• Cheo Coker, a former Ray Donovan and Southland writer who is the showrunner of Marvel and Netflix's Luke Cage series.
• Geneva Robertson, who is currently writing the script for Paramount's upcoming Tomb Raider film reboot.
• Jeff Pinkner, a co-writer on the currently in production film adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower.
• Lindsey Beer, who is writing the upcoming film adaptation of The Kingkiller Chronicle novels.
• Nicole Riegel, whose screenplay Dogfight ranked very high on last year's blacklist of best unproduced screenplays.

Paramount and Hasbro have set Akiva Goldsman to oversee the group, just like they did with the Transformers franchise.
