One of my favorite podcasts is Song Exploder, produced and edited by Hrishikesh Hirway. Song Exploder is "a podcast where musicians take apart their songs, and piece by piece, tell the story of how they were made." In this episode, Oscar-winning composer Alexandre Desplat discusses his score for The Imitation Game (which won Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2015 Academy Awards). It's a fascinating window into the creative process of a film composer. Enjoy the episode here. It's great music to listen to while screenwriting:
