Our favorite podcasts on screenwriting and filmmaking (in no particular order) are:

1. ScriptNotes with John August and Craig Mazin

If you don't know the incredibly useful website johnaugust.com then you will want to spend days mining the vast amount of info that he has built on his excellent blog. Starting now. And his podcast is one of the best for interviews and informed opinions on screenwriting and the business of Hollywood. John August is frequent collaborator and writer with Tim Burton and his podcasting partner Craig Mazin wrote Scary Movie 3 & 4 and The Hangover Part 2 as well as the Identity Thief.  Their industry knowledge and fun banter is always enlightening.

Honorable Mentions:

How I Wrote That with Khanisha Foster

Presented by the first MFA program for women writers (and created by Stephen's College, the oldest women's college in the country) this podcast features in-depth interviews with the most successful and well-known women writers in Hollywood: Alexa Junge (Friends, The West Wing), Nell Scovell (Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, Lean In, Late Night with David Letterman), Guinevere Turner (American Psycho, Go Fish), and Meg LeFauve who together with Nicole Pearlman will be the first female team to pen an action comic blockbuster of such proportions with Captain Marvel.
The underrepresentation of women writers in the entertainment industry is a hot topic, but Stephen's MFA program has been making waves for changing the tides, so I think your readers would appreciate learning more about what it takes for women writers to succeed.
