Announcing the 2016 Short Story Contest Finalists and Winners!

Hospitality by Alicia Oltuski has been selected as the Grand Prize Winner of the 2016 ScreenCraft Short Story Contest. Oltuski will receive the grand prize of $1,000 cash, a one-on-one consultation with a ScreenCraft mentor and introductions and phone calls with Hollywood literary managers.
Sacred Cows: Death And Squalor On The Rio Grande by A.S. Diev has been named the runner-up. He will receive $300, as well as a phone consultation with a top literary manager.
Both Oltuski and Diev will have their stories published for a limited time on ScreenCraft and submitted to our network of literary magazines, agents, managers, publishers and studio executives, as will the following finalists linked below:

In addition to the ScreenCraft team, the jury this year included:
- Ann Rittenberg –Literary agent with clients whose novels and short stories have had much success in Hollywood, including Dennis Lehane (Shutter Island, Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River)
- Diana Ossana – Academy Award-winning screenwriter of short story adaptation Brokeback Mountain
- Cheston Knapp – Managing Editor of Tin House Magazine
- Emily Cooke – Senior Editor at Harper’s Magazine
