ScreenCraft Event: TV's Golden Age of Screenwriting

by ScreenCraft on April 16, 2015

Presented by ScreenCraft, HollyShorts and Final Draft:

Television’s first golden age began in the 1940s and, arguably, its second one was ushered in by HBO’s critically acclaimed show, The Sopranos, in 1999. Since then, shows like Glee, Mad Men, House of Cards and Breaking Bad – to name just a few – have taken episodic television to new heights.

As ratings climb and platforms such as mobile, VOD and over-the-top continue to gain momentum, there are more and more exciting opportunities for screenwriters hoping to break into episodic TV. Combined with the new rules defining comedy and drama as well as the expansion of both categories by the Television Academy, there has never been a better time to break into TV.
