2021 ScreenCraft Feature Competition Winners

We are thrilled to announce the Winners and Honorable Mentions of the 2021 ScreenCraft Feature Competition.

These incredible screenplays were selected from almost 2,500 submissions. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $10,000 option with Flying Rhino Productions as well as invaluable mentorship with John Hilary Shepherd. Congratulations to these writers:

Grand Prize Winner

ADULT SECTION written by Kristin Erickson

A female porn reviewer, for an adult online magazine, is forced to open up her home to her estranged father who reveals he is dying from cancer.

First Runner-up

ACIDS written by Amelia Phillips

In 1982 the Bronx, as a mysterious illness afflicts gay men, a closed-off lesbian doctor risks her livelihood when she invites an infected pregnant woman into her home.

Second Runner-up

HEARD written by Alex George Pickering

A young boy with non-verbal autism must use his savant skills to escape his kidnappers and journey across a deadly wilderness—all while his desperate father searches for him and discovers what it truly means to hear his son.

In addition to the ScreenCraft team, this year's jury included Oscar-Nominated screenwriter and playwright Will Berson, Oscar-Nominated and BAFTA winning screenwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns, Lit Entertainment manager, producer, and founder Adam Kolbrenner, Searchlight Pictures' Director of Production Zahra Phillips, award-winning screenwriter David Branson Smith, as well as screenwriters Mark Perez, Elizabeth Martin & Lauren Hynek.
