2017 ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Contest Runner-up Peyton McDavitt Signs with Fourth Wall Management

by ScreenCraft - updated on February 26, 2019

Screenwriter Peyton McDavitt, runner-up of 2017's ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Contest (which is currently open for entries until June 29th), just signed with Sydney Blanke at Fourth Wall Management an entertainment management company that represents actors, writers, directors, and filmmakers across all media. McDavitt describes Blanke as "...so great, fierce, fiery, and smart!"

Fourth Wall Management was started by Jon Huddle in 2016 after he spent a decade at UTA, representing such clients as Spider-Man: Homecoming writers Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley; Beauty And The Beast and The Huntsman scribe Evan Spiliotopoulos, Peter Rabbit and Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day scribe Rob Lieber; Family Guy writer David Goodman; Shel Silverstein and Naruto writers Chris Shafer & Paul Vicknair; Greenleaf executive producer Clement Virgo; Goon helmer Michael Dowse; Menace 2 Society scribe Tyger Williams; The New Edition Story writer Abdul Williams; Predators scribe Alex Litvak; Keanu, Key & Peele and Community writer Alex Rubens; Late Show With Stephen Colbert writer Paul Dinello; Fink writer Kristen Buckley; and Fred Wolf, the writer-director of Drunk Parents and writer of Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2.

Peyton McDavitt is an actress and screenwriter, known for her appearances on Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds and House. She's been commissioned to write a feature for Hallmark, a sequel called A Gift to Remember 2. She divulges, "I am really excited about working with producer Angela Mancuso. She produced Happy Death Day, which is right up my alley, style-wise."

Speaking of Hallmark, she has a rewrite project on the horizon of a feature for Hallmark. She couldn't reveal any details on that yet, but it would be with another great producer who was a network executive at ABC and Hallmark. She also pitched an idea to Hallmark in January and recently found out that it is going into production and is in the running to be their Hallmark Hall of Fame Christmas movie. So, basically, working on THREE films for Hallmark! She confirms, "They're really great over there."

McDavitt must really love Christmas, because she was also recently cast to act in a Christmas rom-com. She exclaims, "Christmas all year for Peyton! A cinematographer I worked with two years ago asked me to audition. Booked and filmed the exteriors in Utah last week. Back to Utah in May to shoot the interiors. Yay. Serendipitously, they're hoping to 'sell it to Hallmark.' [laughs] I was like 'I know some people!'"

In the fall she worked on a sci-fi/fantasy show called Medinah that films in Qatar, where she got to live for a few months. "It was great, what an experience," she praises, "They're currently in negotiations with SyFy and Netflix. We'll see where it lands soon." And in February, she worked on a Facebook show called We Need to Talk, which is a bit of a hybrid format of scripted sketch and non-scripted Q&A.

Congratulations to Peyton! ScreenCraft is proud to be part of your journey.
