Short Term 12: An Exclusive Podcast episode

Along with our friends at In The Can podcast, ScreenCraft recently landed an exclusive interview with writer/director Destin Cretton and actor Keith Stanfield, whose independent feature film SHORT TERM 12 is being universally lauded as one of the year's best independent movies. This isn't just hyperbole; Short Term 12 is one of those near-perfect gems that reminds us of why we go to the movies in the first place. Destin's script won the Nicholl Fellowship in 2010, the creme de la creme of screenwriting awards. In watching the film, it's easy to understand why. It's a simple story told exceptionally well via intimate and unobtrusive direction and anchored by extraordinarily naturalistic and affecting performances, particularly from Brie Larson, Keith Stanfield, Kaitlyn Dever and John Gallagher Jr. The film is a stunning actor's showcase.
